Toy & Battery Safety

Use the age guidance and warnings supplied with the exact toy. This page is general guidance, not a substitute for manufacturer instructions.

Batteries

Adults should change batteries and keep loose batteries away from children. Use the type, voltage and orientation specified by the product's instructions. Do not recharge a battery unless it is specifically designed for recharging. Do not force the battery cover or modify electrical contacts.

Stop using a toy if it becomes unusually hot, leaks, smells abnormal or has a damaged battery compartment. Do not attempt an internal repair. Seek manufacturer guidance for inspection or replacement.

Moving parts and moisture

Do not pull, pry or force an electronic pet's moving components. Keep liquids away unless the exact instructions expressly describe a permitted use. A virtual aquarium is not a real water-filled tank.

Wearable accessories

Follow the lanyard and attachment warnings. Keep cords away from situations where they could catch or tighten, and remove wearable toys for sleep and activities where they may snag. Do not treat a toy clip as safety equipment.

Age and small parts

Peekimo is advertised for ages 5 and up. Small detachable accessories and batteries require adult attention. A recommended play age does not eliminate the need to follow choking-hazard warnings on the box.
